Below are some of our most frequently asked questions.

STUDIO QUESTIONS : regarding everything you need to know for our amazing Earth to Body Studio.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO CLASS?

Bring your own towel and a refillable drink bottle – adhering to our green vibes we don’t have disposable cups or sell plastic bottled water!

HOW EARLY SHOULD I ARRIVE TO CLASS?

First timer? 10-15min early for your orientation. Thereafter, 5min or earlier if you’d like to spend some time on our green area with our foam rollers and SMR balls.

DO YOU HAVE CHANGE-ROOM FACILITIES?

We have two bathrooms, one with a shower for members to use. Please bring your own towel, earth-friendly body wash is provided.

IS THERE FREE CAR PARKING?

Parking is free in the surrounding area of the studio, and is available on Coolstore Rd, Harry Lacey Ln carpark (just before the train line) and in our front carpark. Our kind neighbours at Motafit allow our clients to park in their spots at all class times except the 7am class. Please refrain from parking in any surrounding business car parks!

CAN I BRING MY MOBILE PHONE TO CLASS?

Our classes provide an immersive experience – you forget about the outside world for the hour! However if you wish to take a sweaty selfie in front of our studio artwork or neon feature, go for it.

CURRENT COVID CONSIDERATIONS?

We operate under the current Victorian COVID guidelines for gyms. If you are displaying any COVID symptoms please stay at home. When at the gym please sanitise your hands upon entry to the studio and use the antibacterial wipes provided in the class to wipe down any equipment you used. Ensure you bring a towel to catch your sweat.

WORKOUT QUESTIONS : Below are questions regarding everything you need to know for our amazing Earth to Body WORKOUT.

WHAT IS AN EARTH TO BODY WORKOUT?

We offer 9 strength, performance and mobility focus workouts 7 days a week. Each day has a unique structure with a focus to build strength, perform or improve our mobility. The workout will always push you outside your comfort zone. Strength focus days will have a main component where technique and heavy lifting is the focus. Performance days will push your limits and provide opportunity to express strength, power and fitness with mobility focus workouts designed to improve range of motion for better overall movement capacity. All while immersing yourself with a one-of-a-kind community in an electric, jungle-like, high vibing atmosphere. 

WHAT IF I AM NOT FIT ENOUGH?

Your fitness level is irrelevant. We welcome beginners! Above all, attitude is everything. If you come with an open-mind, a willingness to learn and to give it your best, you will succeed. All fitness levels are welcome in each class, and our coaches can modify movements as required to suit your needs. Build your foundation in our Strength focus classes, give yourself a few weeks to familiarize yourself with the flow of the classes and the movement variables and you will gain momentum and be well on your way!

DO YOU HAVE BEGINNER'S CLASSES?

All fitness levels are welcome in each class yet we highly encourage beginners to build strength and fitness in our Strength focus days to begin. Our introductory sessions are purposefully offered in our compound strength focused classes where there is more opportunity for the coaches to assess your movement and spend time with you. Our coaches can modify movements where required. If visiting for the first time, be sure to arrive 15min early to receive our studio orientation and get acquainted with our Technogym self-powered skillmills.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TRAIN?

Everybody is different in terms of fitness goals and schedules. To get the most benefit from our program, we recommend 4 sessions per week with Strength days as the focus then add your favorite performance and mobility classes as you progress. 4 sessions across the week ensures consistency and consistency is KING! Additionally, because our program is progressive in nature, consistency is key to be able to progressively overload in the strength work as well as building your stamina and endurance.

IS THE CLASS GOING TO BE HARD?

Our classes are badass. They’re hardcore. “F*** that was hard” is the daily feedback! They will push you to your limits but also create the best feeling and post workout rush all while being around your mates who have endured with you. Whilst every workout will challenge you, we strive to make it the best hour of your day!

I HAVE A PRE-EXISTING INJURY; AM I STILL ABLE TO TRAIN?

It depends on your injury and your journey to recovery. We may request that you get a medical clearance from your treating clinician before you can attend, and we also may request your clinician complete a program alteration form. It’s best that you arrange a call with one of our coaches before participating in a class, to ensure you’re not putting yourself at risk of further damage. Reach out to us here.

BOOKING POLICIES : Below are questions regarding everything you need to know for our Earth to Body booking policies.

HOW DO I BOOK INTO CLASSES?

Reserve your spot by booking on the MINDBODY app. You can access our class timetable here, and book up to 7 days in advance.

If you have any troubles just reach out!

DO YOU ACCEPT WALK-INS?

Due to capped class numbers, we do not accept walk-ins. All class bookings must be made using MINDBODY.

Our front desk is only staffed limited hours that change week to week so our automated online booking system is the preferred and optimal method of securing your class spot.

WHAT IS YOUR LATE ARRIVAL POLICY?

We want you to get the most out of your workout – and missing the warm up can put you at risk of injury. If you are more than 5 minutes late to your class then you may not be able to join – our coaches may ask you to leave or book another class time.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Guys – to put it simply – SHOW UP. Show up for the coaches who have shown up for you, for the members who want to train alongside you, and most of all, for YOU because we know you’d be bummed if you missed out.

For those times you can’t make it, be sure to ‘early cancel’ outside of our cancellation windows; 9hrs before morning classes and 3hrs before evening classes. Cancellations within the cancellation windows are considered a ‘late cancel’ and will incur a fee for those on memberships, and those on class passes will forfeit a pass. This includes switching time slots and ‘no-shows’. #donthitsnooze

 

WHAT IF THE CLASS TIME I WANT TO ATTEND IS FULL?

Join the waitlist – you will be given this option in MINDBODY. If clients cancel their spot and you get moved into the class, and will be notified via email and/or text.

I AM HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE MINDBODY APP & BOOKING?

Firstly, try the basics – refresh the app, uninstall then reinstall the app or check if there’s an update due (as older versions can cause booking issues).

If all else fails, reach out to us via phone or email and we will help you rectify the issue.

MEMBERSHIP & CLASS PASSES : Below are questions regarding everything you need to know for our Earth to Body memberships.

HOW DO I BECOME AN EARTH TO BODY MEMBER?

You’ll receive a link via email following your first class, allowing for easy set up in less than 5minutes. We can also assist with this set up over the phone or in person at a scheduled time in reception!

Our memberships are no-lock-in, with just a 2 week cancellation notice period.

DO YOU ACCEPT WALK-INS?

Due to capped class numbers, we do not accept walk-ins. All class bookings must be made using MINDBODY.

Our front desk is only staffed limited hours that change week to week so our automated online booking system is the preferred and optimal method of securing your class spot.

WHAT ABOUT THE CLASS PASS OPTION?

We have single and 10 class passes for those who want to keep it casual – maybe you’re still experimenting, or life is a bit complicated. These are a quick and easy purchase through MINDBODY.

CAN I BRING MY BABY OR YOUNG CHILD TO CLASS?

Sorry, we don’t offer child minding at our Croydon studio and the dim lighting/loud beats are not the ideal environment for infants.

We will not be responsible for any children, pets or items left in our reception area, which is not always staffed.

DO YOU OFFER 1:1 PERSONAL TRAINING?

Group training classes are our primary service at Earth to Body. We are passionate about community and training in a high vibing atmosphere, encouraging each other along the way.

We have a specific 1:1 foundations training package which may be recommended upon consultation for first timers who are new to the gym environment however this doesn’t extend as an ongoing service.
